Exclusive: Read the first chapter of my next book

For the last 18 months I’ve been working on a very different kind of book, a memoir about a personal crisis in my family. As primarily a business author I’ve spent much of my career advising other people to take creative risks, but rarely did myself. How creative is a writer who only writes in the same genre?
